As of today, March, 6^th, we are 82 days away from the Bella Vida Festival. Like always I have been familiarizing myself with any of the bands that I do not know. There are more bands on this list that I have not heard of when compared with the other festivals I have been too, mainly because it is a more intimate gathering.  Over the past few weeks I have been listening to a ton of music from the acts that will be coming to Bella.

I have been listening to MoonAlice quite a bit, I downloaded one of their lives shows and I will look forward to checking them out.  Sometimes they have Jack Cassady (Jefferson Airplane and Hot Tuna) on the bass and I do not believe he will be there for Bella Vida, but if he was that would be awesome.

I have also been listening to That1Guy and he is a very interesting musician. For those of you who are not familiar with him you can check out his website: http://www.that1guy.com/

He invented his own insturment and his music is very methodical and beat oriented. He is a solo act, so you don’t get quite the same sound as compared to a full band, but he is diffiently worth seeing.

Bernie Worrell will be playing Social Lybrium, you should check out their myspace at http://www.myspace.com/socialybrium

They are super funky and are going to be a great act to see!

I am also very excited to see the Great American Taxi and the Emmitt-Nershi band, both of those bands caught my ear. Of course I am also very excited to see each of the headliners, Keller Williams, Robby Krieger and Pretty Lights.

This is going to be a fun time! I have made a few signs for our campground and we are going to have a large sign that reads.  Politablog.com, I am also hoping to have a bunch of black light stuff and glow sticks of course.

Also, just got word about bands for Project Earth which is taking place also at Harmony Park in June 25-26.

Cloud Cult will headline on Friday night and Wookiefoot on Saturday Night. Also playing are the New Primitives, Gold Standard, the Limns, Nathan Miller Band, Home, Darkwood Flower, The New Rebelution, Jon Wayne and the Pain, Dead Larry, Gypsy Lumberjacks, Lunar Funk Theory, Enchanted Ape and many more acts as well.

Only 1,000 tickets will be sold for this event so you better buy quick if you are looking to go!
